an ode to joe lieberman*--a fun way to explain his political demise
Although we're sad to see him go,
The man from Stamford, nicknamed Joe,
His politics no longer fit
The great state of Connecticut.
His lonely voice once made us proud
when criticizing Maureen Dowd,
He's one-note now, just like a hack,
Stuck, with Bush, upon Iraq.
Before you go we must request
(Until your office does divest)
That when you finally say adieu
You'll have taught Lamont a thing or two.
The man from Stamford, nicknamed Joe,
His politics no longer fit
The great state of Connecticut.
His lonely voice once made us proud
when criticizing Maureen Dowd,
He's one-note now, just like a hack,
Stuck, with Bush, upon Iraq.
Before you go we must request
(Until your office does divest)
That when you finally say adieu
You'll have taught Lamont a thing or two.
